Newbury Scuba Diving Club has a wide and varied social calendar for club members (and their families where possible). Over the years the club has organised many different events to try and accommodate all the member’s needs. Here are some examples:
RIB ride on the Thames through the City of London
We joined up with Wantage Dive Club for a RIB ride along the river Thames, which was a great way to see London.
Indoor Skydiving
Diving doesn’t have to be limited to just under the water, we even had a go at skydiving, albeit indoors.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Being based in the Berkshire Downs, there are lots of opportunities for countryside pursuits for club members to try.
Christmas Dinner
The Christmas dinner is always a lively event enjoyed by all.
Newbury Parade
The Newbury Carnival is a great way to raise local awareness and donations for the RNLI
Working Parties
Working parties during the winter break are a great way to get to know other members.
Training Days
We try to include a social side to training days, such as a BBQ at Cromhall dive Cente
We have also had trips to see; a Steam pumping engine, a Gin factory, The Dive Show, etc. And quite a few curries……
