The Club

Newbury Scuba Diving Club

Newbury Scuba Diving Club is a thriving local club for scuba divers based in and around the Newbury area. As part of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) organisation, Newbury Scuba Diving Club (NSDC) offers safe, fun diving for all levels. Whether you are a complete beginner, or already a qualified diver looking to do more diving, then NSDC is the perfect club for you.
What did you do at the weekend?
NSDC offers a wide range of diving to suit all levels and interests, including diving from the club’s 6m RIB, hard boat diving in both the UK and abroad and a variety of shore dives. During the summer months there is usually a choice of diving most weekends, so whether you want to explore shipwrecks in the English Channel, or photograph some of the amazing marine life around our shores, there will be something you can do.

Want to learn to dive?

For more information on the training available click here

All the diving and training is conducted to the highest BSAC safe diving standards to ensure that you have the best experience. The training takes place at the Mary Hare School, Arlington Manor, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, RG14 3BQ which has a heated indoor 3m deep swimming pool and fully equipped classrooms.
What did you learn at the weekend?

Already qualified?

If you hold a qualification from another diving training agency (such as PADI, SSI, SAA, ScotSAC, NAUI, CMAS etc) then often no further training is required. If you would like to further your training with a BSAC qualification, your diver grade is recognised so you can progress to the next higher BSAC grade (no need to retrain – you can simply progress).

If you are already qualified with BSAC but haven’t dived for a while, then we can arrange a refresher course for you.

Skills progression

Not only can Newbury Scuba Diving Club help train you through every level of diving from BSAC Ocean Diver to BSAC Advanced Diver, you can also learn many other skills from Boat Handling, Gas Blending to First Aid.
